This course provides an introduction for music education majors to the field of music teaching. Course topics include: the teaching profession, theories of learning and teaching, purposes of education, history of American education, philosophy, school law and ethics, diverse learners, and classroom technology. Course includes practicum. Fall semester. Tubercular check, Act 33 Child Abuse, Act 34 Criminal Record check, Act 114 FBI Federal Criminal History Record, and PDE-6004 (Arrest or Conviction Report and Certification Form) required. Fee.
