This course enables residents to appreciate and comprehend the complexity of the future environment in which they will practice. Major areas of emphasis are the discussion of solo practice vs associateships, practice acquisition, valuation of an orthodontic practice, doctor-patient relationships, marketing strategies, employee vs independent contractor status, office management, office finances, office staffing, and OSHA, EPA, and DER regulations.
