SNU 474 - Palliative Care (Nursing)3 Credit(s)
This course examines the nurse’s role in providing palliative and end-of-life care to patients and families across the lifespan and in diverse practice settings. An inter-professional, collaborative approach addresses physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural concerns related to end-of-life decisions. Key concepts include Compassionate Care, Ethical and Legal Practice, Professionalism, and Communication, emphasizing culturally responsive, person-centered care. Students explore strategies to support patients and families while promoting equity in palliative care. RN to BSN students only. When Offered: OBC session 5. Prerequisite(s): All students must have an active RN license on file.
