STR 333 - Theatre Costume Design (Theatre)3 Credit(s)
An intermediate level studio course for students who already have a general understanding of theatrical design principles and want to explore costume design more intentionally. You will engage in period and fashion research, script analysis, and character analysis. You will grow your rendering skills by experimenting with different techniques, such as multi-media collage and digital design. You will also consider how to create designs that celebrate all people, respect all cultures, and support actor bodily autonomy without compromising your artistic aesthetic. When Offered: Spring semester, odd-numbered years. Prerequisite(s): STR 215 or instructor permission. Fee.
