Exploration of diversity, equity, inclusion and justice and their critical role in providing client-centered care. Emphasis on therapeutic use of self, professional communication and health literacy. Includes exposure to social determinants of health, culture, faith, intersectionality, microaggressions and bias. Includes analysis of how community organizations address diversity and social determinants of health. Skills include culturally relevant communication and application of health literacy strategies.
