SMU 278 - History of Rock and Roll (Music)

This class is designed to give the student a thorough understanding of the development of Rock Music from its inception to the early 21st  century.  Topics of discussion include Blues, early country and folk music, racial integration, the British Invasion, major stylistic trends, innovative record labels and recording studios, and numerous bands and individuals and their places in history.  Listening is an integral part of this course.
