SHU 251 - National Parks: US Past and Present (Humanities)3 Credit(s)
This course provides the opportunity to explore and learn about American culture through the lens of the U.S. National Park System and adjacent areas. This course takes place through an immersive experience in various National Parks across the United States. The course uses the variation in regional geography, landscape, natural and cultural resources, people, and religion as the basis for cultural exploration. Students will become familiar with the reciprocal influences between people, environment, resources, and cultures and how these influences shape the lives and environments of the US. When Offered: M-term, as needed.
