This course focuses on the theoretical and scholarly foundations of evidence-based nursing practice, emphasizing integration of research, theory, and ethical principles to improve quality and safety outcomes. Students will examine how nursing theories and their core concepts inform clinical judgment. Learners will gain the skills to critique research and clinical guidelines to determine best practices for improving patient outcomes. Students apply ethical principles in the evaluation and translation of research into practice to enhance the quality and safety of nursing care. When Offered: Fall semester.
