SFN 311 - Criminalistics II Lab (Forensic Science)

This course will focus on the following laboratory techniques used by a criminalist for identification of physical evidence: wet chemical tests, density, refractive index, various types of microscopy, infrared spectroscopy, Raman, gas chromatography, and GC/Mass spectrometry. This course is designated as a writing intensive course. Therefore, it will also address proper writing techniques within the discipline of Forensic Science. Specifically, it will focus on writing Crime Lab reports and taking detailed notes.

Prerequisite(s): SCH 211 , SFN 105 .
Corequisite(s): SFN 310 .
