SMA 100 - Structure of the Number System I (Mathematics)3 Credit(s)
Topics include problem-solving, set theory, number theory, numeration systems, and algebra review. Particular emphasis is placed on the successive development of real numbers and the employment of electronic resources. The first course in a sequence of two mathematics courses designed for students who are pursuing teacher certification in areas other than secondary mathematics. When Offered: Fall and spring semesters. Prerequisite(s): Passing score - ALEKS Placement Assessment. If a student has already completed SMA 117 (or higher), the ALEKS score has been met.
