A study of the chemistry of carbon compounds for physician assistant majors. A systematic examination of the molecular structures, structure-property relationships, and chemical reactivities of the compounds of carbon including reaction mechanisms and multistep syntheses. Examples of biological and medical relevance are given. When Offered: Spring semester. Prerequisite(s): SCH 140 with a C- or better. Fee.
