Students develop critical thinking skills in composing, reading, and speaking through an examination of the relationship between culture and literacy, or the ways people use, learn, and value language.

When Offered: Fall and spring semesters; OBC sessions 2 and 4.
Liberal Arts Curriculum: Successful completion of SEL107 with a C- or higher satisfies the Writing requirement.
