SMA 300 - Numerical Analysis (Mathematics)

Numerical methods of curve fitting, finding roots of equations, numerical integration, and numerical solutions to differential equations, and to partial differential equations as time permits. The goal is to understand how creating a sequence of steps may lead to solutions of previously unknown questions. Software required (see instructor).

When Offered: Spring semester, even-numbered years.
Prerequisite(s): SCS 132 and SMA 140. SMA 225 recommended.
