This experience-based course is designed to reinforce understanding of music concepts, enhance musicianship, and focus awareness on the physical demands of artistic performance through the use of rhythmics, a modified technique of the unique approach to music learning involving rhythmic movement created by Jacques Dalcroze. Rhythm reading, notation, analysis, and improvisation are also addressed in the course.
