SPA 540 - Human Gross Anatomy I (Physician Assistant)

This course is designed to present an in-depth consideration of the gross anatomy of the human body using both systemic and regional approaches. This material will be presented formally in lecture format, and supplemented by dissections of human body donors in the corequisite laboratory course to enhance the understanding of the complexity of human anatomy. The laboratory sessions will correspond to the lecture topics. Clinical scenarios will be presented to apply the knowledge of anatomy learned in lecture and lab. 

This course is the first part of a 2-semester series. Topics covered in this first course are an introduction to the systems and a detailed review of select regions of the body (the back, thorax, limbs, head, and neck).
