SNU 401 - Behavioral Health Nursing Concepts (Nursing)

The purpose of this course is to provide person-centered nursing care to promote, maintain, and restore mental health utilizing therapeutic nursing interventions for clients along the mental health/ disorder continuum in all settings. Students will further explore concepts of ethical and legal, communication/collaboration, health and wellness, and health policy to support patients experiencing mental health disorders.
When Offered: Fall semester.
Prerequisite(s): SNU 301  and SNU 302  level nursing courses with minimum grade of B-.
Corequisite(s): SNU 402 .
