SED 341 - Studies of Exceptionalities (Education)3 Credit(s)
This course examines the characteristics and instruction of individuals identified with high and low incidence disabilities (from grades PK - 12, or up to age 21) and is designed to prepare teachers to work with these individuals in various placements. Topics include methods of identification, evaluation, and placement of students diagnosed with disabilities, learning needs and instructional techniques, positive behavior support plans, individualized programming, use of technology, and current educational issues. When Offered: Spring semester. Prerequisite(s): SED 205 , SED 208 , and SED 209 .
