This course provides an upper level framework for understanding Human Resource Management (HRM) business and regulatory considerations associated with effective workforce and talent management around the world. Global labor markets will be compared in terms of workplace culture, and various HRM functions. The course will illustrate the complex cultural environment that multinational firms face in such areas as talent and performance management, outsourcing, compensation, and employee relations. Successful global assignments will be considered. Junior, senior status recommended. Liberal Arts Curriculum: Satisfies the Global Cultures requirement.
