SGS 108 - Transition–College Writing/Reading (General Studies)2 Credit(s)
Students reinforce basic writing and reading competencies learned previously and explore how this knowledge transfers to skills essential for writing and reading at the college level. Topics include stages of the writing process and qualities of effective writing, such as structure, style, and considerations of purpose and audience, as well as active reading and listening strategies. Students will also be introduced to differences among writing in various disciplines. When Offered: Summer. Permission Required.
