SED 683 - Instructional Strategies I (Education)

This course provides aspiring teachers with the knowledge and skills they need to teach elementary English and social studies: e.g., early literacy, citizenship, and history. Each unit begins with an exploration of content area standards, addresses best practices for linking planning, instruction, and assessment, and ends with hands-on experiences in local schools. Participants will practice differentiating instruction for individuals and groups, assessing student work, and evaluating the effectiveness of a lesson.
