Integrates nutrition, physiology, and biochemistry in the study of nutrient metabolism at the cellular level. Provides an integrated study of normal nutrient function and the metabolic characteristics of conditions including regulation of digestion, hormonal control of metabolism, carbohydrate digestion, absorption and storage, Glycolysis, and the Krebs cycle.
