An introductory course for basic comprehension and communication in Portuguese that emphasizes the use of interactive technologies & online conversational exchange for understanding Portuguese in context. The course develops communicative skills in Portuguese, as well as language acquisition strategies and intercultural engagement. Assumes little or no prior knowledge of the language.  Requires web-based supportive practice.
