This course provides an in-depth exploration of the role of music therapy in mental health settings. Students will examine the theoretical foundations, evidence-based practices, and practical applications of music therapy techniques for addressing various mental health conditions. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, experiential activities, and discussions, students will develop a comprehensive understanding of how music can be used as a therapeutic tool to promote emotional expression, communication, socialization, and overall well-being in individuals with mental health challenges.
