SSC 150 - Global Study in Science and Society (General Science)

Exploration of the integral role of science in society through a global lens. Specific focus will vary based on location and/or instructor but may include the scientific basis of a region’s cultural traditions or the impact of climate change on infrastructure and access to food and clean water. This course was developed via a UISFL grant and supports either certificate in African or Latin American area studies when offered in a complementary locale.

When Offered: Summer, J-Term or M-Term.
