With the ever increasing demands on behavioral health professionals, the subject of wellness is timely and relevant. This course introduces self-care for promoting a positive well-being to preventing burnout, stress, and compassion fatigue. Focus on enhancing a positive quality of life for managing stress and improving a healthy lifestyle with strategies for practicing positive psychology; mindfulness; physical, emotional, and spiritual self-care; time management; peer support; and the importance of self-efficacy. 3 credits.
