The focus is on young children with disabilities in various settings including home, school, Head Start, early care programs, and early intervention programs. Overview of issues facing young children with disabilities, including infants and toddlers, within the context of family/society including early childhood service models, theoretical perspectives, implications of early childhood disabilities role of the early childhood interventionist (ECI) professionals, IEP development, and national and international trends regarding early childhood intervention.
