SPT 635 Clinical Education 3:

This course is the second of 2 part-time clinical education courses. Students will be placed in one clinical setting for 8 hours per day, 1 day per week, for 14 consecutive weeks of clinical education experience in either an acute care setting, an outpatient facility or a skilled nursing facility. The primary purpose of this clinical experience is to allow the students to gain experience in physical therapy practice with emphasis on the clinical application and integration of the knowledge and skills learned in the first year of the DPT program. The student will also have the opportunity to participate in learning experiences unique to the clinical site such as medical rounds, surgical observation, staff meetings and in-services, practice administration and interdisciplinary experiences.
