SAR 313 - Art in Secondary Ed & Practicum (Art)

In this capstone course, students become familiar with art education in grades K through 12. Arts advocacy, classroom management, multi-disciplinary collaboration, special needs students, purchasing materials, sourcing materials, technology, curriculum design, and developmental lesson planning are explored and discussed. Spring semester. Tubercular check, Act 33 Child Abuse, Act 34 Criminal Record check, Act 114 FBI Federal Criminal History Record, and PDE- 6004 (Arrest or Conviction Report and Certification Form) required. Fee. Three hours lecture and three hours practicum per week, additional hours as announced by instructor.
