SAR 314 - Art in Elementary Ed & Practicum (Art)

Students become familiar with art education at the elementary level, arts advocacy, classroom management, and issues relating to technology; observe exemplary programs; and develop and teach lessons in a variety of settings. A teaching journal, teaching portfolio, senior art exhibition, and senior paper are completed. Fall semester. Tubercular check, Act 33 Child Abuse, Act 34 Criminal Record check, Act 114 FBI Federal Criminal History Record, and PDE-6004 (Arrest or Conviction Report and Certification Form) required. Fee. Three hours lecture and three hours practicum per week, additional hours as announced by instructor.
