SPA 541 - Human Gross Anatomy II (Physician Assistant)1 Credit(s)
This course is designed to present an in-depth consideration of the gross anatomy of the human body using both systemic and regional approaches. This material will be presented formally in lecture format, and supplemented by dissections of human body donors in the corequisite laboratory course to enhance the understanding of the complexity of human anatomy. The laboratory sessions will correspond to the lecture topics. Clinical scenarios will be presented to apply the knowledge of anatomy learned in lecture and lab.
This course is the second part of a 2-semester series. Topics covered in this second course are: the abdominal wall, abdominal cavity, posterior body wall, pelvic cavity, perineum, and central nervous system. When Offered: Fall semester. Prerequisite(s): SPA 540 . Corequisite(s): SPA 543
