Techniques and strategies for managing student behavior in the classroom. Special emphasis on the techniques and strategies most effective with students who are behaviorally disordered. Effective parent conferencing techniques are emphasized. Field component required. Tubercular check, Act 33 Child Abuse, Act 34 Criminal Record check, Act 114 FBI Federal Criminal History Record, and PDE-6004 (Arrest or Conviction Report and Certification Form) required. Formal admission into the Education Program required. Prerequisite: SED 205. Fall and spring semesters.
