Survey of the major theatrical and dramatic conventions, practices, theories, and traditions from the sixteenth through the late nineteenth centuries. Students read plays from the period, engage in online and in-class discussions, play responses, and papers. Prerequisite: STR 110. Fall semester, even-numbered years. Fee.
