Laboratory course that provides hands-on experience with the advanced spectroscopic methods for analysis. The student will utilize modern spectroscopic instrumentation, including atomic absorption, fluorescence, IR, Raman, UV-VIS, and NMR. Computational studies with quantum mechanical principles are applied to the interpretation of spectroscopic data. Computer acquisition and analysis of data are widely utilized. Pre/Corequisite: SCH 330 or SCH 355. Spring semester. Fee.
