SED 229 - Brain Based for the Classroom (Education)

Brain research has yielded a great deal of information about how students learn best.  This course will explore this research and how it impacts the classroom.  The course will examine the five senses, memory, gender, sleep, exercise, and many more factors that effect learning.  Students will develop brain-friendly lessons and adapt classroom activities to maximize student learning.  Field experience is a required component of this course. Tubercular check, Act 33 Child Abuse, Act 34 Criminal Record check, Act 114 FBI Federal Criminal History Record, and PDE-6004 (Arrest or Conviction Report and Certification Form) required.   Spring semester, even numbered years.
