An examination of Roman Catholic moral theology & ecclesiology focusing on methodology and applications to Church ministry. Foundational content will include coverage of the sources of moral theology (Sacred Scripture, Ecclesial Authority,& and human reason), the place of Christ and the Church in the moral life, natural law, the Magisterium, Christian virtue, human acts, sin, conscience, conversion, and principles for decision-making. Case studies on issues in biomedicine, sexuality, and social justice will highlight challenges of resolving moral dilemmas in pastoral and ecclesial settings.
