SAR 308 - Art Ed K-12 Observation & Practicum (Art)3 Credit(s)
This capstone course requires students to observe and experience practical situations in art education at the K-12 grade level. Participants observe and interact with students in a variety of levels and situations. The class includes fifteen hours of classroom observation and written reports. The practicum experience requires fifteen hours of interaction with teachers and students in the classroom. This experience does not require teaching but does emphasize close interaction with teachers and students alike. The weekly lecture covers experiences and information to be shared. Tubercular check, Act 33 Child Abuse, Act 34 Criminal Record check, Act 114 FBI Federal Criminal History Record, and PDE-6004 (Arrest or Conviction Report and Certification Form) required.
