Study and practice of the methods of teaching foreign languages in elementary, middle, and high schools. Includes historical and philosophical theories of second language acquisition. Emphasis is on the development of a variety of approaches and materials for effective instruction and evaluation according to the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages and Pennsylvania Core Standards. Formal admission into the Education Program required.
