Students develop skills in advanced nonfiction writing by crafting texts in several common magazine genres and practicing the writing process. Topics include the role of audience and publication analysis, an introduction to various common genres of magazine writing, strategies research in magazine writing, the ethics of magazine writing, an introduction to the process of publication and editing, and the impact of technology on the magazine industry.
