Course examines the role of the nurse in providing palliative and end-of-life care to patients and their families across multiple practice settings and the lifespan. An inter-professional approach to palliative care will address the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual concerns of patients and families as they relate to pain, symptom management, and comfort care, and end-of-life decisions.
