SPT 643 - Physical Therapy Skills 5 4 Credit(s)
This course will reinforce the musculoskeletal content presented in term 1 and progress to more advanced orthopedic, manual and sports content. Students will learn the psychomotor skills necessary for patient management in Orthopedic physical therapy. Concepts will include mobilizations with movement, muscle energy techniques, motion analysis, and pelvic and shoulder girdle relationship to limb injury and function. Students will learn the skills necessary to examine and treat common impairments related to orthopedic conditions.
