This course will introduce students to the legal, ethical and reimbursement implications that exist while working with older adults. Healthcare policy and insurance issues related to Medicare and Medicaid will be discussed along with advocacy for reimbursement, the profession of physical therapy and for the health care needs of society. The course will also provide guidance to students for completion of their capstone research project.
