SDA 260 - Dance Improvisation (Dance)2 Credit(s)
The Dance Improvisation course will investigate improvisation in dance while incorporating exercises that will lead to the development of phrase work. This course will use discussion, demonstration, and readings to explore various aspects of dance improvisation. Students will work individually, with partners, and in groups. This course may also require physical contact with other students, during partnering or group work. This course challenges students’ abilities to create and perform work spontaneously, stressing authenticity and creativity.

Prerequisites: SDA 240 , SDA 340 or SDA 440 .
