SMT 303 - Music Therapy and Older Adults (Music Therapy)

This course examines current research/cultural trends surrounding the Older Adult population as well as the application of music therapy in promoting the well-being and addressing the unique needs of older adults. Through a combination of theoretical exploration, practical application, and experiential learning, students will gain an understanding of how music therapy can enhance the quality of life for older adults in various settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, adult day centers, and hospice care.
