STR 227 - Scenic Painting (Theatre)

This course will provide an overview of scenic painting for the theatre. Topics covered will include the profession of scenic painting, studio organization, scenic studio staff and duties, tools and materials of the trade, understanding of paint and mixing techniques, as well as a host of painting techniques. Health and safety will be addressed throughout the course.

 Credits: 3.

 When Offered: Spring semester, odd-numbered years. 

 Prerequisite:  STR 108  or permission of instructor.
