SNU 514 - Nursing Informatics for Health Care (Nursing)3 Credit(s)
This course examines how information and communication technologies (ICT) support safe, high-quality, and patient-centered health care. Students analyze the role of informatics in clinical practice, interprofessional communication, and systems-based care. Emphasis is placed on ethical and legal principles, evaluation of unintended consequences, and strategies to mitigate risks. Students develop plans to guide technology selection, implementation, and evaluation, preparing them to use informatics to improve clinical decision-making, care coordination, and system outcomes. When Offered: Fall semester. Prerequisite(s): SNU 510 and SNU 511 .
