SBL 315 - Biotechnology (Biology)

Study of the advanced concepts and experimental techniques used in modern biotechnology, especially those commonly used by professionals in the areas of basic research, medicine, and bioremediation. Aspects of medical, animal, plant, and microbial biotechnology are explored. Students also critically evaluate the impact of modern biotechnology on society and its associated ethical considerations. Prerequisite: SBL 212 or permission of the instructor. Fall semester.
