SNU 310 - Pathophysiology and Pharmacology I 3 Credit(s)
Provides a foundation on the pathophysiology of illness states and pharmacological therapies. Part one of this course includes the concepts of comfort, immunity, oxygenation, pain, metabolism and gastrointestinal disorders. Principles of pathophysiology and pharmacology are presented in an integrated manner to provide a basis for application to nursing practice, emphasis on safe, evidence-based practice of medication administration. Integrates anatomy, chemistry, microbiology and physiology and pharmacology and focuses on their application to clinical practice. Prerequisites: SNU 203 & SNU 204 with grade B- or better, SHL 216 & SHL 217 . Corequisites: SNU 301 , SNU 302 .
