SNU 440 - Community and Global Nursing

This course synthesizes public health theory, research evidence and nursing practice to improve health of diverse populations in a global community.  The role of the public health nurse as advocate for social justice and health equity is explored.  Key concepts in public health such as epidemiology arc applied.  Population level data arc analyzed to propose health promotion and risk reduction strategics.  Knowledge from previous courses is integrated to improve the health of populations through prevention.
