SNU 442 - Global Health Nursing (Nursing)

This course synthesizes public health theory, research evidence and nursing practice to improve health for diverse populations in a global community.   The role of the nurse as an advocate for social justice and health equity is explored.  Key concepts in public health such as epidemiology are applied and population level data are analyzed to propose health promotion and risk reduction strategies.  This RN to BSN course includes 30 hours of practicum experiences to apply the course concepts.
