SNT 520 - Advanced Nutrition II (Nutrition and Dietetics)

This course aims to expand student’s knowledge on a variety of pathophysiological conditions and integrate this knowledge with the intervention of clinical nutrition therapies.  Focuses on the nutritional demands and hypermetabolic response of trauma, surgery, organ failure, burns, AIDS, and neoplastic disease. Examines specialized nutritional support and substrate requirements in the acute care setting.
